Key Features – Apple CarPlay And Android Auto
The major selling point of this stereo is that it includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which means you can use your smartphone as a touchscreen display. Both of these features are among the most sought-after functions in car stereos nowadays. They aren’t compatible with this head unit because they aren’t wireless.
The reciever also has the ability to connect to amazon Alexa via vos and sys, which is a separate Android app that you must download from the Google Play Store. I have an Alexa speaker at home, so this functionality might be useful to me on occasion.
For music alarms and reminders, I’d still most likely use Spotify or a podcasting software on Apple CarPlay. Somehow, Pioneer is still linked with Weblink. Weblink is a portal that connects to services including YouTube, Yelp Music, Weather Channel, and Zomato. The stereo uses a USB connection to connect to your device, and it isn’t a screen mirror; it works with iOS and Android.
